What it is
What is a time picker in Apple Messages for Business?
A time picker sends an event, such as Oil change at Lumen Auto Eastside, with a list of start times and durations. The card shows the date; tapping it opens the available slots.
The customer picks a slot and sends it. Your webhook receives the chosen time, ready to write to your calendar or booking system.

What it is not
Not a calendar sync
The time picker shows the slots you send. Your system decides availability and records the booking.
Not free-form scheduling
Customers choose from your slots. For open-ended dates, use a form with a date picker.
Not on Apple Watch
Watch shows the conversation but not interactive messages.
Not a payment step
To take a deposit, follow the booking with an Apple Pay request.
Experience Review
Apple's rules for this feature
- Introduce the picker with a short text bubble.
- Send real availability only, so every slot can be booked.
- Confirm the booking in text after the customer picks.
- Durations are in seconds; start times are ISO-8601 and Blooio converts them for Apple.
Apple checks these during the Experience Review and after launch. Every rule for every feature is in the Experience Review checklist.
