What it is
What is a rich link in Apple Messages for Business?
A rich link is a message with a URL and an optional title. Apple renders it as a card with a preview image, title, and domain. Tapping it opens the page.
It is the right way to share product pages, articles, order tracking, store locations as Apple Maps links, and your Privacy Policy and Terms.

Common mix-ups
What it is not
Not a bare URL
Typed links fail Apple's Experience Review. Send every URL as a rich link.
Not a button
A rich link opens a page. For choices inside the conversation, use a quick reply or list picker.
Not a place for pasted policy text
Link to your policies instead of pasting them into the thread.
Not Markdown
Apple Messages for Business carries plain text. Formatting characters arrive as typed.
Experience Review
Apple's rules for this feature
- Send every URL as a rich link, including policies and tracking pages.
- Introduce the link with a short text bubble.
- Use an image that matches the page; logos under 150 px wide make an icon-style card.
- Send locations as Apple Maps links, not typed addresses.
Apple checks these during the Experience Review and after launch. Every rule for every feature is in the Experience Review checklist.
