About the Role
We're looking for a Technical Operations Associate to be on the front lines of our technical operations. You'll work directly with customers and our internal team to diagnose and resolve device backend issues, handle technical support tickets, and keep things running.
This is a hands-on role for someone who likes solving technical puzzles, isn't afraid to dig into logs, and can communicate clearly with both customers and engineers. You'll be the first line of defense for technical issues and a critical part of how we scale support without bottlenecking engineering.
Responsibilities
- Triage and resolve technical support tickets across email, chat, and text
- Investigate device backend issues - read logs, reproduce problems, and document fixes
- Escalate complex issues to engineering with clear repro steps and context
- Build and maintain internal documentation, runbooks, and customer-facing help content
- Identify recurring issues and work with the team to prevent them at the source
Qualifications
- Comfortable with technical concepts - devices, backends, APIs, logs
- Strong written and verbal communication - can explain technical issues clearly to non-technical customers
- Detail-oriented and persistent - you don't give up on a ticket until it's actually resolved
- Experience in technical support, IT, QA, or similar hands-on technical role is a plus
- Comfortable working in-person in San Diego County
- Comfortable using AI tools in day-to-day work
