Submit to Apple's Experience Review
Apple tests the whole conversation before you go live. Blooio records the walkthrough and submits it for you, and the AI bot on the Growth plan already checks every box Apple looks for.
Go live
Once Apple approves, turn on the Message button in Maps, Search, your site, and your app. Customers who can't be reached on Apple Messages for Business fall back to RCS Business Messaging, then SMS.
Paste these instructions into Claude, ChatGPT, or Cursor. They switch your code from BlueBubbles to Blooio's endpoints and teach your bot the payloads that pass Apple's Experience Review.
Blooio's v4 API follows the same send, reply, and webhook flow you already run. Swap the base URL and API key, map a few field names, and your bot keeps working. iMessage, SMS, RCS, and Apple Messages for Business all share one API.
Customers who can't be reached on Apple Messages for Business, including everyone on Android, fall back to RCS Business Messaging, then SMS. One priority list decides, so you send once and Blooio picks the channel.

In depth
BlueBubbles is a well-loved open-source project for personal use, and it's free. This page is about whether it fits a business texting its customers.
BlueBubbles exists so people can use their iMessage account on Android, Windows, and Linux. It does that well. It wasn't designed as a channel for a business to text its customers, and it isn't one Apple offers for that.
Every message goes through a Mac you own, signed in to your iMessage account. It has to stay awake, stay online, and come back after a power cut. Remote access runs through a proxy such as ngrok or Cloudflare, or through port forwarding, and notifications go through your own Firebase project.
When that Mac sleeps, reboots, or loses its connection, your business stops texting.
Sending reactions, replies, and typing indicators, and creating new chats, all need BlueBubbles' Private API. That requires turning off System Integrity Protection on the Mac, which BlueBubbles' own docs compare to jailbreaking an iPhone. On a business machine holding customer conversations, that's a real security trade-off.
Customers see the phone number or email on the Apple account. There's no business name, logo, or verification, and if that account gets flagged for business-volume messaging, every conversation on it goes with it.
Each server relays the one account signed in on that Mac. More volume means more Macs, more Apple accounts, and more machines to keep online. Apple Messages for Business runs one verified brand at any volume, with nothing to host.
Blooio is an official Messaging Service Provider for Apple Messages for Business. There's no Mac to host, no SIP to disable, and no tunnel to keep alive: you send through one API, with webhooks, integrations, smart fallbacks to RCS Business Messaging and SMS, and a support team behind it.
